Law firms are always looking for excellent post graduates in the current war for talent. We developed a multiple award winning game that sets a new milestone in recruitment and selection.
Houthoff Buruma’s question
There is an increasing gap between university life and working life at atop-tier law firm. At the same time potential employees want to experience themselves what it means to work at such a company. Houthoff Buruma asked us to create a game where the players can distinguish themselves not only by professional qualities, but also through their creativity, how solution driven and stress resistant they are and the level of their social skills. Qualities that are seldom addressed by traditional selection methods.
We created aground-breaking recruitment and selection game. The Game engages participants in a realistic legal case, while the company can observe their pursuits. Participants can discover and experience legal practice from within. They are challenged to resolve a case study within 1.5 hours, inside a rich multimedia setting. They work together in teams but are in the meantime also in competition with each other.
Within weeks from its release The Game achieved 100% recognition in the target group, where word of mouth is the strongest form of publicity. The Game was mentioned as one of the three reasons for Houthoff Buruma becoming “Benelux Law Firm of the Year”. And within 2 years Houthoff Buruma became the number 1 employer out of 79 offices.
Due to the game Houthoff’s attractiveness for students increased and the quality of the recruits has improved. Furthermore, The Game contributed tremendously to Houthoff’s brand visibility.
